Introduction

Once There ware two friends, a Mynah and elephant. The elephant one day shared With the mynah, “Dear Mynah, all my life, I had a desire to fly. I have always dreamt of what fun it would be to fly over village and look down at the house’s and people, to glide over the river and jungle. Do you think I can fly?” “Sure you can,” said the mynah. Reaching back with his beak, he pulled a feather from his tail. “Here” he said “take this feather and hold it firmly in Your mouth. Then flap your ears as hard you can and you will fly.”

The elephant did what the mynah asked him to do. He put the feather in his mouth, flapped his ears as hard as he could and what a pleasure! He began to fly. Holding the feather tight in his mouth he flew over the village. He looked down at the people; he glided over the river and over the tree’s. He did things that he had never done. Saw things that he had never seen.

Wen at last he glided back to earth, he ran to meet his friend guarding the feather carefully with his trunk. “Mynah you have changed my whole life,” he said. “I really can't thank you enough for this feather.”

“That feather?” Said the mynah.

“You didn't need that. That was one of my old ones. I just gave you something to believe in. It was the flapping of your ears that did it, not the feather.”

Good leader are made not born. lf you have the desire and willpower, you can become an effective leader. good leader develop through a never-ending process of self-study, education, training, and experience. This guide will help you through that process.

To inspire your worker into higher levels of Teamwork, there are certain thing's you must be, know and, do. These do not come naturally, but are acquired through continual work and study. Good leaders are continually working and studying to improve their leadership skills; the are NOT resting on their laurels.

Before we get started let us define leadership.

Leadership is a process by which a person influences others to accomplish and objective and the organisation in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent.

Leader's carry out this process by applying the leadership attributes, such as beliefs, values, athics, character, knowledge, and skills. Athrough your position is a manager, supervisor, lead, etc. Gives you the authority to accomplish certain tasks and objectives in the organisation, this power does not make you a leader…it simply Makes you the boss. Leadership differs in that it makes the followers want to achieve high goals, rather than simply bossing people around.

When a person is deciding if she respects you as a leader, she does not think about your attributes, rether, she observes what you do so that she can know who you really are.

She use this observation to tell if you are a honorable and trusted leader or a Self-serving person misuse authority to look good and get promoted. Self-Servring leaders are not as effective because because their employee only obey them, not follow them. The succeed in many areas because they present a good image to their seniors at the expense of their workers.

The basis of good leadership is honorable character and selfless service to your organisation. In your eyes, your leadership is everything you do that effects the organisation’s objectives and their well being. Respected leaders concentrated on what they are [be] ( Such as beliefs and character), what the know ( Such as job, tasks, and hunan nature), what the do (such as beliefs implementing, motivating, and provide direction).

What makes a person want to follow a leader? People want to be guided by thoes they respect and who have a clear sense of direction. To gain respect, they must be ethical. A sense of direction is achieved by conveying a strong vision of the future.

Leadership Traits

Leader's do not command excellence, they build excellence. To reach excellence, you must first be a leader of good character. Traits are distinguishing qualities or characteristics of a person and character is the sum total of this traits.

There are innumerable leadership traits. let us focus on a few that are crucial for a leader. the more you display these taits as a leader, the more your followers will believe and trust you.

• Vision: A Leader with vision has a clear, vivid picture of where to go as well as a firm grasp on what success looks like and how to achieve it. But it's not enough to have a vision; leaders must also share it and act upon it.

Integrity: is the integration of hotword actions and inner values. A person of integrity is the same on the outside and on the inside. Such as individual can be trusted. Honest dealings, predictable reactions, well-controlled emotions, and and absence of tantrums and harsh outbursts are all sign of integrity.

Dedication: means spending whatever time or energy is necessary to accomplish the task at hand. On leader inspires dedications by example, doing whatever it takes to complete the next step toward the vision.

Magnanimity: means giving credit where it is due. A magnanimous leader ensure that credit for success is spread as widely as possible throughout the company. conversely, a good leader tasks personal responsibility for failures. To spread the fam and take the blame is a hallmark of effective leadership.

Humility: leaders recognise that the are no better or worse them other members of the team. leaders with humility understand that the earn the respect from their team not through authority but through personality and character.

Openness: means being able to listen to new ideas. Good leaders are able to suspend judgement while listening to others' ideas, as well as accept new ways of doing things that someone else through of.

Creativity: is the ability to think differently. Creativity gives leaders the ability to see things that others have not seen and thus lead followers in new directions.

Fairness: means dealings with others justly. A leaders must check all the facts and hear everyone out before passing judgement. when people feel that they are being treated fairly they reward a leader with loyalty and dedication.

Assertiveness and self-confident: A leader clearly States what he or she expects so that there are not misunderstandings. And assertive leader is a self-confident person and ensures a win-win solution to any problem.

A positive attitude: is Vittal to relieve tension and resolve conflicts. Effective leaders know how to remain positive in adverse situations and be able to inspire and energize the team. Positive attitude fosters good camaraderie.
